Farm Hitch is the brain child of Glenn Cruickshank MD of Shanks Engineering.
Glenn is from a farming background and has seen over the years the time taken to connect different farm implements and knows the dangers involved every time you leave the tractor to complete this task. “Nobody is getting any younger and implements seem to be getting larger and heavier resulting in more time wasted connecting different attachments. Too many accidents happen yearly and I now believe the majority of these are preventable with our design”

Farm Hitch Background
Glenn’s background from he left school has been engineering with vast experience in Hydraulics, Electronics, Manufacturing from his previous employment in steel engineering and milking machine installations.
In 2004 Glenn set up his own engineering firm and this has grown year on year since. Shanks Engineering have a state 15000sqft of the art manufacturing facility in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan where design right through to manufacture all happens under one roof.
Farm Hitch has been in development for in excess of three years and will officially be launched at the Irish Ploughing Championships 24th – 26 September 2013.
